If you have a child who is a NZ resident or citizen then you can apply for this visa category. When lodging a visitor visa- you will be eligible for a 3 year duration visitor visa and your child must sponsor your visa. If you are applying for a resident visa, your child(ren) must meet the income requirements to sponsor your residency application.
